Toddler Bum Bag
TODDLER BUM BAG
Designed and hand-made exclusively for Grow Resilient Families, these toddler bum bags are the perfect, hands-free carrying bag for your GRF music class! Not only do they look adorable on your music-loving kiddo, but they also promote independence, building confidence as they carry their music-class essentials (big enough to hold a shaker, harmonica, and a snack. Sorry grown-ups…you’ll have to carry the blankets, drums, and water bottles on your own!) Finally, personalize your toddler’s bum bag with one (or two) of our unique, linocut-carved-and-pressed, easy to iron-on patches:
logo/social bug
musical birdie
or apple
Please note: only one patch is included per order. Additional patches can be purchased for $6/each.

How the patches were made
The Grow Resilient Families and Musical Bird patches are handcrafted linoprints (the image was pressed on cotton fabric using hand-carved linoleum blocks). The Apple patch was made from a cozy flannel print to commemorate Jillian’s fall release of “A-P-P-L-E”. The patches were then backed with interfacing, hand-cut, and embroidered on the outer edge using a home sewing machine.
Instructions for applying: preheat iron to medium-high heat without steam. Position the patch (adhesive side down) on your desired heat-tolerant fabric. Using pressing paper (e.g., parchment paper) over the patch, iron the patch on using firm pressure for approx. 8-10 seconds. Repeat around the whole surface of the patch. Allow the patch and garment to completely cool before handling. Handling before it cools will not give the patch a chance to fully adhere. You may repeat the process until the patch is securely in place.
Bum Bag care recommendations: spot clean or hand wash to minimize wear and tear. For more thorough cleaning, machine wash on cold + delicate in a garment bag. Air dry flat. Iron the bag on medium as needed, avoiding the straps and buckles.
